In this uniquely designed showcase, Aviekal explored how Bollywood and Hollywood had celebrated food on the silver screen, revisiting legendary songs, dance sequences, and iconic dining-table moments that shaped global pop culture. His compelling narrative, rooted in extensive research and authored by him, turned the experience into a rich journey of nostalgia, rhythm, and flavour.
The concept had been envisioned by Sohaila Kapur, and the production was brought to life by Anuradha Dar, but it was Aviekal’s multi-disciplinary artistry that remained the driving force of the showcase. By seamlessly merging movement, melody, and culinary storytelling, Aviekal Kakkar transformed KHAANA aur GAANA into a vibrant celebration of taste, music, and cinematic magic.
