Delhi Police Honoured at 11th Women Astitva Samman & 10th Junior Astitva Samman
Delhi Police was honoured at the 11th Women Astitva Samman and 10th Junior Astitva Samman (2025–2026) held today at LPS Auditorium, PHD House, New Delhi. The prestigious award was conferred upon Shri Ajay Chaudhry, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police (SPUWAC & Vigilance), in recognition of Delhi Police’s outstanding contribution and unwavering commitment towards women empowerment, safety, and social welfare.
The award was presented by the organizing body after a rigorous selection process carried out by an esteemed jury, which evaluated the impactful initiatives undertaken by Delhi Police for the protection, empowerment, and upliftment of women and girls. The initiatives of SPUWAC, including self-defence training programmes, gender sensitization, community outreach, and preventive policing measures, were particularly appreciated.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ajay Chaudhry, IPS dedicated the honour to all officers and staff of Delhi Police, especially the SPUWAC teams, for their relentless efforts in ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for women. He reiterated Delhi Police’s commitment to continue strengthening women-centric initiatives and community engagement.
