31st Perfect Health Mela – College Edition 2025 Opens with Inspiration, Impact and Youth Spirit

Over 800 students participate in competitions celebrating health, creativity and community well-beingNew Delhi, November 6, 2025: The Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI), in collaboration with Holy Family College of Nursing, inaugurated the 31st Perfect Health Mela – College Edition 2025 in New Delhi today.

Keeping alive the vision of Padma Shri Dr KK Aggarwal, the Mela continues to be one of India’s most trusted community-health platforms, uniting education, art and awareness to make preventive health accessible, participative and enduring.

Dr O P Yadava, CEO and Chief Cardiac Surgeon, National Heart Institute, remembered Dr Aggarwal’s life and philosophy, saying:
 “Dr KK Aggarwal believed that true healthcare begins not in the hospital but in the heart of society. Awareness, compassion and prevention were his three prescriptions. By bringing together hundreds of young people under one roof, the Perfect Health Mela renews his message that a healthy nation is built through informed and inspired citizens.”

Mr S K Poddar, Chief Guest and noted industrialist, reflected: “Dr Aggarwal transformed health education into a movement that touched every household. The Perfect Health Mela is more than an event, it is his living legacy. Watching students today carry forward his ideals with such creativity and conviction is a powerful reminder that his spirit continues to guide us.”

Dr Veena Aggarwal, Trustee, Heart Care Foundation of India, added:
 “For Dr KK Aggarwal, health was never just the absence of illness; it was the harmony of body, mind and spirit. Seeing young students embody that balance through art and awareness is the greatest tribute to his mission of preventive and compassionate healthcare.”

Dr (Sr) Raminder Kalra, Principal, Holy Family College of Nursing, said: “Co-hosting this edition has allowed our students to experience the purpose behind healthcare – service, empathy and collaboration. The Mela gives them the platform to express that purpose in ways that inform and inspire their generation.”

Day 1 witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 800 students from more than 20 colleges across Delhi-NCR engaging an audience of over 1500 people.
Through music, dance, theatre and innovation, the participants translated complex health issues into creative expressions that informed and entertained alike.

Event Highlights:

* Folk Dance (Group): A colourful display of India’s cultural diversity and vitality.
* Bollywood Singing (Group): Performances on Songs of Hope and Healing, judged by Ms Vandana Vashistha and Mr Sujit Gupta.
* Mono Act: Compelling portrayals on Cyberbullying and Social Media Pressure, evaluated by Mr Shiv Kumar Kohli and Ms Indu Ahuja.
* Stand-up Comedy for a Cause: Humorous takes on Doctor Google – MBBS in Confusion, judged by Ms Divya and Ms Meena Rawat.
* Nukkad Natak / Street Play: Hard-hitting performances on Virtual Trap of the Digital World: Likes vs Life, judged by Dr Syed Nazam Iqbal and Mr Nirmal Vaid.
* Innovation Model Making: Student prototypes on Health Monitoring and Wearable Technology, assessed by Dr Anil Kumar and Mr Neeraj Tyagi.

Each event captured the essence of Perfect Health for All – Nurturing Body, Mind and Spirit, blending creativity with meaningful social messaging.

Day 2 will feature classical and western dance performances, a debate on wearable health devices and privacy, a fashion show on futuristic healthcare, and digital creativity contests that continue to reflect the spirit of prevention and participation.
