
VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital proudly announces the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Virtual Clinical Anatomy Laboratory & the modern Burns OPD Block, marking significant advancements in medical education and comprehensive patient care.
New Delhi: The Virtual Clinical Anatomy Laboratory, inaugurated on 13th October 2025 by Secretary Health Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava, is designed to revolutionize anatomy learning for clinicians and students through advanced interactive 3D visualization, virtual dissections, and digital academic tools. VMMC is the first Medical College in Delhi NCR to procure the Anatomage Table. The ceremony was held in the august presence of Dr. Manashvi Kumar JS, Dr. Sandeep Bansal (Director, VMMC & SJH), Dr Charu Bamba Medical Superintendent, Dr Geetika Khanna Principal VMMC, Dr. Vandana Mehta (Head of Anatomy Dept), Dr Sujata Sarabhai HOD Burns and other distinguished faculty, positioning the hospital as a leader in clinical training and innovation. Adding to this achievement, the newly inaugurated Burns OPD Block brings world-class, compassionate care under one roof. Featuring expanded infrastructure, the facility includes specialized dressing suites for all age groups, a fully equipped 10-bed emergency unit, and a dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation center. The department, led by Dr. Sujata Sarabhai (Head of Burns), emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and dignity-offering cutting-edge resources for the holistic recovery of burn survivors.
