VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital Hosts Mega Health Camp; Rally with RAK and VMMC Nursing Students Draws Major Attention
Safdarjung Hospital successfully organized a mega health camp today, witnessing participation from 11931 patients. The camp included a robust array of medical services, offering screenings, consultations, and wellness sessions, aiming to address community healthcare needs at scale.A highlight of the event was an inspiring health rally led by nursing students from RAK College of Nursing and VMMC. The rally energized the hospital campus, underlining the vital role of nursing students in public health education and community mobilization. This initiative aimed to promote awareness on preventive healthcare and safe medical practices among attendees and the general public.Throughout the day, patients availed themselves of preventive screenings for non-communicable diseases, TB, and antenatal care, alongside general consultations. Counseling, yoga, and wellness activities were also conducted, emphasizing holistic health and mental well-being.Special distribution of nutrient-rich millets was carried out for patients and participants, promoting the adoption of millets for better health and nutrition.
The event’s success was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the hospital’s staff, nursing faculty, and student volunteers. Their dedicated service reinforced the hospital’s commitment to accessible healthcare and health promotion.
