New Delhi : The National Police Memorial (NPM), dedicated to the nation on October 21, 2018, by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, stands as a symbol of strength, courage, and sacrifice. Located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, the memorial serves as a place of reverence for both police personnel and citizens alike.
As a dignified tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by police personnel across the country, Delhi Police will conduct the Band Display, Parade and Retreat Ceremony on every Saturday and Sunday throughout August 2025, from 5:00 PM till sunset, at the National Police Memorial.
The memorial bears the names of Police Martyrs who have laid down their lives in the line of duty, safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation. These ceremonies will serve as a solemn reminder of their unparalleled dedication and courage.
This initiative is being carried out under the directions of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which has entrusted Delhi Police with ceremonial duties at NPM during August 2025. These ceremonial observances aim to Honour Police Martyrs, foster community engagement and enhance public awareness about the sacrifices and contributions of the police force.
Delhi Police invites citizens and police families to attend these ceremonies and join in paying homage to the Valour, Service and Sacrifice of the police personnel. These events offer a rare and meaningful opportunity for the public to connect with the police force in a solemn and respectful setting.
