Two Days International Conference on AI and Computational Sciences Begins with Eminent Speakers at Ramanujan College

The International Conference on Emerging Trends in Artificial Intelligence and Computational Sciences (ICET-AICS 2026) was inaugurated on 7 April 2026 at Ghalib Auditorium, Ramanujan College, organized by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women. The session was graced by eminent dignitaries including Prof. Mukesh Mohania (IIIT Delhi) as Chief Guest, Dr. Vivek Gupta (Founder and CEO, IndusLab AI) as Keynote Speaker, Prof. Rajinder Kr. Pandey (Patron & Principal, Ramanujan College), Prof. Neelam Goel (Principal, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women), and Prof. Vijay Singh Rather (Dean-International, Apex University, Jaipur).
The inaugural session commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the Kulgeet, setting a formal and academic tone for the event. Dr. Kamlesh Raghuvanshi (Convener) delivered the welcome address, outlining the objectives of the conference and emphasizing its relevance in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence and Computational Sciences.
In his address, Prof. Rajinder Kr. Pandey highlighted the importance of such conferences in ensuring meaningful outcomes through AI research for building a safer and progressive society. Prof. Neelam Goel emphasized the significance of collaborative academic initiatives, noting that such joint efforts between institutions provide enriched learning opportunities and benefit participants immensely.
Prof. Mukesh Mohania, in his address as Chief Guest, emphasized the need for decentralisation of Artificial Intelligence and the expansion of AI-related courses across universities to enhance accessibility for students.
Dr. Vivek Gupta shared his industry experience, elaborating on the development of numerous AI agents that have simplified daily life and improved efficiency in professional environments. Following the inaugural addresses, Dr. Manish Kumar Singh (Co-Convener) proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions.
The conference then proceeded with paper presentation sessions conducted in hybrid mode, where 26 papers were presented offline and 55 papers online across various thematic tracks.
The day concluded with an insightful online expert talk by Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy (People’s Security Academy, Vietnam), who presented her work on “Text-based Person Search: Integrating Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing.” She demonstrated how multi-modal AI systems can identify individuals from surveillance footage based on textual descriptions and discussed key challenges such as limited datasets, linguistic diversity, and constraints in non-English language processing tools.
The first day concluded on an engaging and intellectually enriching note, setting a strong foundation for the subsequent sessions of the conference.
